On Monday, December 5th, Brave Spirits held our Third Annual Fundraising Fête. The evening included mingling, food and drink, a silent auction, and more.
Some of BST’s favorite artists performed scenes from Shakespeare’s Histories, in celebration of the announcement earlier this year of our History is 2020 project. Artistic Director Charlene V. Smith announced our 2017-2018 season. The announcement was also livestreamed on Facebook.
A big thank you to all our supporters: the silent auction raised $1,241! Thanks to our generous audience members, this was our most successful Fête to date! Funds from the event will help us mount our spring repertory: Ford’s ‘Tis Pity She’s a Whore and the DC-area premiere of Beaumont and Fletcher’s A King and No King.
Thanks to the Fete, we are well on our way towards our end-of-year fundraising goal of $3,000. You can support this campaign, and the work of Brave Spirits, by donating here.
